GS1-14 as EAN-128 Symbology Information

GS1-14 as EAN128 barcodes are used for supplychain labelling.

They are 16 digits long, the last digit being a check digit calculated from the other digits.

They have an application identifier (01) at the start to indicate that it is encoding a GTIN 14 number.

The primary identifier for the company using the GS1 14 as EAN barcode is allocated by GS1, a global organisation that allocates a company prefix to members for a yearly fee. You can apply for a GS18 for your products when you become a member.
